Marketers are responsible for developing marketing campaigns to promote products, services or ideas for businesses and the services they provide. This ranges from overseeing content and communications, creating and managing events, creating brands and creating online content such as videos and blog posts.

A Marketer will analyse the data of campaigns to provide reports and recommendations on how the company and their services can grow. Your job would include:

  • Communicate with target markets
  • Write and proofread marketing material
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Work with agencies (internal or external) to create marketing materials

Career paths into this role

  • Apprentice route
    You could qualify as a Marketing and Comms whilst working in a supporting role. You study alongside your practical experience

  • Graduate route
    You’ll need an RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accredited undergraduate or postgraduate degree. You’ll usually need 5 GCSEs (9-4) and 3 A Levels to get onto a degree course, but you might be able to use other qualifications.
